And The Band Plays On

The Great American Song Book is made up of the most important and influential songs of the 1920's through the 1950's. Time and time again singers and musicians alike have brought their own unique style to these timeless tunes. "And The Band Plays On" is a musical tribute to this unforgettable music and era in our nation's history along with some favorites that are sure to be included in the next generation of classics.

Pat Doyle, drummer and leader of Disney’s Grand Floridian Society Orchestra has dedicated the past 27 years to entertaining audiences with tunes from a book of music that overflows with melodies from the Great American Songbook. Over these years, he has worked with some of the nation’s greatest musicians and has collected a group of most requested and best loved tunes from the era.  His wife, Letitia is also no stranger to the great American Standards. Having spent years on the road as a child and then as a performer herself, she has often referred to the songs by George, Gershwin, Cole Porter and many others as "the soundtrack of my life".

Jack Jenkins, and his wife Sally spent their careers paying homage to this special collection of music.  As "America's Singing Sweethearts" the duo toured the globe, opening for the Guy Lombardo Orchestra, playing Cole and Linda Porter in "RSVP: The Cole Porters", singing the great songs of George and Ira Gershwin in "S'Wonderful, S'Marvelous and countless other performances throughout their careers.  After Sally's death in an automobile accident Jack has continued to perform with his daughter Letitia and to entertain audiences at The Cloister Resort on Sea Island.
